The Untitled Kimiko Carter Project [entries|friends|calendar]
Kimiko Carter

“There are many reasons why novelists write – but they all have one thing in common: a need to create an alternative world.” As I embark on this journey of writing a fifty-thousand world novel I can only hope that the words from my mind, transfer to paper and become a part of not only my life, but whoever reads it. I am a writer, and a writer always writes.<

I'm Back. Hello Nano 2006.

So its only been 26 weeks since I've last updated. Anybody else got the sophmore slump for nanowrimo? I really do and i've been in it for awhile now. I come up with a few story ideas, I've got some so far but I have no idea where to take them. And I've put a lot of pressure onto myself to complete my novel this year because I completed all 50,000 words within 19 days last year. So I got the case of the sophmore slump. Yuck.

Okay, browsing around a bit I came across Janowrimo, very similar to Nanowrimo, except it takes place during Janauary.

I'm going for it!

Although towards the end of January I have finals to study for and whatnot, I'm not sure if I will find the time to actually finish the novel, but hey it is worth a try anyway.

So I hope to see you all at Janowrimo, and if not, then

See you next year at Nanowrimo

All good things must come to an end [Nov. 29th, 2005]

Is anybody else sad that November is almost already over? And that Nanowrimo is just almost 24 hours away from being done for another year? It actually makes me want to cry. I've been waiting for Nanowrimo for like, a year. It went by so fast. I sound like such a loser, but this became a huge part of my life, I dedicated so much time to this novel and such and now its like oh no, its over. LoL. For sure, I'll be back next year, ripping my hair out because my novel won't lay properly, and crying when my words won't flow right, and most surely screaming and eatting cake when I hit the 50K mark! What can I say? I'm crazy. But how many people can walk around and say "I wrote a novel!"

I'm glad I can!

If there is anything that nanowrimo has taught me its that, everything is impossible if we think it is, but if we go on in life thinking that we can do everything and nothing is impossible, then nothing is impossible. We are on top of the word. I'm 15 years old and I wrote a novel in 19 days. Nanowrimo has most surely being a huge learning experince for me, and I won't ever forget my first year doing nanowrimo. Thanks guys, for a great year!

Oh and a friendly reminder

Only 11 months and about one day until Nanowrimo 2006 starts again! =) Laughs!

See you all next year! =)

POST & EDIT

[Nov. 28th, 2005]
I know I created this journal a tad bit late seeing as it is already november 28 and such. But I was like all the cool kids have a different Nanowrimo Journal so I decided I'd get one too. I'll probably have an ETA on this update tomorrow because I'm so tired and its 11:00 and I have school tomorrow!

Enjoy
